VCTM Annual Meeting

ATMNE Fall Conference, Killington, Vermont

Members Present:  Nancy Pejouhy, President; Jean McKenny, Past President; Harvie Porter, Membership Chair; Roberta Cota, Zone 1 Representative and Secretary;  Harvey Chaffee, Treasurer; Kathy Nolan, Zone 2 Representative; Bob Sinclair, ATMNE Representative; Mary-Anne Johnson, Zone 6 Representative; Stacey Anthony, Will Wright, Zone 3 Representative; Barbara Unger, Zone 5 Representative; Maureen Neumann, NCTM Representative; Carole Fortier, Middle –School Representative; Jill Wilkins, High School Representative; Tim Whiteford, Higher Education Representative; and Co-Program Chair Sue Soltau; Co-General Chair Karla Karsten.

 

The meeting was called to order at 12:15 p.m.

 

Nancy Pejouhy presented Jean McKenny her Past President pin for VCTM.

 

Secretary’s Report:  Moved by  Bob Sinclair and seconded by Sue Soltau to accept the Secretary’s Annual Report of October 21, 2005.  Motion was approved by unanimous vote.

 

Treasurer’s Report:   The treasurer’s report was distributed by Harvey and discussed.    Moved by  Jean McKenny and seconded by Barbara Unger to approve the Treasurer’s Report dated October 20, 2006.    Motion was approved by unanimous vote.

Bob  Sinclair and Sue Soltau cast one ballet.  Motion was approved unanimously.

 

Nancy Pejouhy reported that Cathy Seeley, past president of NCTM, will be our guest speaker at the spring conference, and Marge Petit has agreed to host her

 

Nancy Pejouhy reported that the VCTM Spring Conference titled “Math for All Learners” at St. Michael’s in  Burlington, Vermont, on March 14 or 15, 2007. 

 

Motion made by Jean McKenny/Bob Sinclair made a motion to give Tim Whiteford at St. Michaels to go forward on the planning.  Motion was approved by unanimous vote.  If you have ideas for Tim for the spring conference e-mail him at: twhiteford@smcvt.edu

 

Nancy reported that Linda Parker, the k-6, the two state finalists are:  Mary Fitgerald and Jennifer Hewett.  The winner will be announced

 

The next VCTM meeting will be held January 11, 2007, at Randolph at 3:30 p.m.

 

Harvie Porter that the  ESA grant was won by Charlotte Kenny.

 

Moved by Bob Sinclair and seconded by Bob Chaffee to adjourn the meeting at        12:45 p.m.  Motion was approved by unanimous vote.
